The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8, the 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and the 2010 Mazda RX-8 all share one big thing in common - they can be scooped up for about $10,000. But more than price, they share the lovely joy of being naturally aspirated, rear-wheel drive coupes with a manual transmission. Each car presents its own strengths and delicacies, but if you had $10,000 to spend, which of these three would be your choice? Thomas and James spend some time deliberating over which they like most. We hope you enjoy the episode. And then subscribe, silly.

Huge thank you to @mjantzimedia for making their Genesis available to us

We Drove 500 Miles In The Lamborghini Revuelto, And It Almost Went Fine

The 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto ($846,594 as specced in Canada, $608,358 starting in the US) is the successor to the outgoing Aventador, and is powered by a hybrid V12 engine that makes a combined 1001 horsepower. It has three electric motors and an electric-only mode, meaning the Revuelto lets the driver choose between a shouty V12, a silent EV mode, or a combination of both for maximum power. But how does it handle something like a longer distance road trip to beautiful Ontario cottage country? And how does it fare on some twisty roads? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

Escaping a Flash Flood in our Toyota AE86 and GTI // Road to Enlightenment Ep.2
Escaping a Flash Flood in our Toyota AE86 and GTI // Road to Enlightenment Ep.2 admin 1 Views • 1 month ago

The adventures of Toe Foo and Schnitz continue! The two ‘80’s hatchbacks Thomas and James just bought are about to embark on the most treacherous leg of their journey yet. James’ 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86 cost more than double what Thomas paid for his 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI. When Thomas finds this out and learns that James has been lying to him, he has the whole team change course and camp for a night to save money. However, Thomas’ campsite of choice is at the end of a long and unpaved road that he has little information about. When camping, they say to expect the unexpected. However no one could have expected just how long this day would be. We hope you enjoy Episode Two of the Road to Enlightenment!

2025 Porsche Spyder RS Review // We Are Now Deaf
2025 Porsche Spyder RS Review // We Are Now Deaf admin 0 Views • 1 month ago

Check out the clothes we’ve been wearing here: https://glnk.io/3vzrq/thethrottlehouse652

The 2025 Porsche Spyder RS ($192,600 starting in Canada, $164,200 starting in the US) is a mid-engine roadster with the same 4.0L flat six engine as found in the 911 GT3. And with that engine comes a screaming 9,000 rpm redline, 493 horsepower through natural aspiration, and a 3.2 second claimed 0-60 mph time. But with softer suspension than a GT4 RS and a removable roof, where does the Spyder RS fit into Porsche’s lineup? And how does it compare to something like a C8 Z06 Corvette? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

This was filmed on a closed course - Do Not Attempt

The 2006 Ford GT ($149,995 USD original MSRP / ~$188,400 CAD converted, $469,900 CAD current / ~$371,700 USD converted) is a supercharged V8 behemoth with undeniable curb appeal and a merciless driving experience on the track. Thanks to the styling that pays homage to the ‘60’s race cars of yesteryear, the Ford GT can still turn heads while among the modern supercar crowd. Thomas and James have planned to take it to a local race track in Vancouver to see just what it can do. However, they may just discover that a 550 hp rear-drive Ford GT proves to be a bit challenging to handle in the wet, and can be a bit...dangerous...Watch to see what happens! SUBSCRIBE!

2024 Ferrari Purosangue Review // Why It’s Worth $400,000

The 2024 Ferrari Purosangue (US$400,000, ~CAD$500,000) is the first four-door, four-seater to ever come out of the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. A ferocious naturally-aspirated V12 sits up front-mid, creating 715 horsepower with a stunning 8250 rpm redline. It also has a unique active suspension system that Ferrari claims is a world first, and a trans-axle transmission layout to help achieve its target 49:51% weight distribution. But all that tech, power, and cabin room seems to weigh a lot.

Can the engineering and chassis overcome the Purosangue’s size and weight to still provide a signature Ferrari experience? And how does Ferrari’s first foray into the world of super SUVs stack up against the competition? Thomas and James can’t wait to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

There are very few options for new affordable sports cars on the market today, and first in the conversation is often the Subaru BRZ / GR86. But if you look to the used market, more options become available. This includes the sharp, S54 engined BMW Z4 M, the flat-six Porsche Cayman S 986.2, and the C6 Z06 Corvette with a whopping 7.0 L V8. But why should you choose one over the other? And just how much bravery is required if you decide to go the used route over something new and warrantied like the Subaru? Thomas and James are excited to spend some time with each car and see what they have to offer. We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

2025 BMW M5 Review // We Need To Talk
2025 BMW M5 Review // We Need To Talk admin 0 Views • 1 month ago

Get some WeatherTechs for your vehicle here! https://www.weathertech.com/floorliner-digitalfit/?utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=ContentCreator&utm_campaign=ThrottleHouse

The 2025 BMW M5 ($135,000 starting in Canada, $119,500 starting in the US) is all new for this model year, and with it comes a whopping 717 horsepower from a hybridized twin-turbo V8. As the first-ever hybrid M5, it’s also good for a combined 738 lb ft of torque and has a claimed electric-only range of up to 40 km. But all that extra power comes at a rather heavy price - it weighs about 1000 lbs more than the outgoing model. Will the new M5 live up to its high expectations set by its predecessors? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode.

We Bought Two V12 Legends For Less Than A Toyota Corolla
We Bought Two V12 Legends For Less Than A Toyota Corolla admin 0 Views • 1 month ago

In the second ever Throttle House Road Trip, Thomas and James purchase two V12 legends of yore and take them on a journey across Ontario and into Quebec. Thomas has picked himself up a nearly immaculate E38 BMW 7-Series and James has found himself a less-than-immaculate Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140. They plan to answer one simple question: are the older and cheaper luxury limos actually better than their more expensive modern renditions? We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!
