Thomas and James challenge themselves to find the coolest auction win in each price category, starting from $5,000 up to $250,000. As they crawl through Cars & Bids, the guys unearth many cool and usual vehicles and discuss which was the biggest win in each category. This video also serves as a goodbye of sorts to ToeFoo and Schnitz, as both of the hero cars from our first Throttle House Adventure are up for no reserve auction on Cars & Bids now! This is the Porsche Macan Turbo. It has a new V6 engine and is the ultimate Porsche crossover, with a top speed of 167 mph. Putting its power through all four wheels, its launch control is aggressive, and its build quality is sensational. James and Thomas jump behind the wheel to see what it's really like. Because at $117,000 CAD, it better be good. Watch and enjoy. SUBSCRIBE!

Toronto, we are here. The 2024 Rolls Royce Spectre ($495,000 starting in Canada, $422,750 in the US) is the very first EV to proudly wear the double R logo. In lieu of a silky smooth twin turbo V12, the Spectre has two electric motors making a silent 577 horsepower and 664 lb ft of torque. Befitting a true Rolls Royce, the Spectre is bespoke to the buyer and has numerous options to beautify both the interior and exterior with artistic designs. It also aims to provide a cabin that is effortless, comfortable and quiet.
But how has the transition to electric power affected the driver and their passengers' enjoyment of a Rolls Royce? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode! And then subscribe, silly.

The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish ($514,800 starting in Canada, $429,000 starting in the US) has returned and is powered by a brand new twin-turbo V12 engine with 824 horsepower and 738 lb ft of torque. The Vanquish has seen several other changes over its previous iteration, including a new chassis with a longer wheelbase and a higher top speed of 344 kph (214 mph). But does it provide the driving experience you might expect of a full-fledged Aston Martin halo car? And with only a few choices for a new V12 on the market, how does it compare to its similarly-engined competitors? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8, the 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and the 2010 Mazda RX-8 all share one big thing in common - they can be scooped up for about $10,000. But more than price, they share the lovely joy of being naturally aspirated, rear-wheel drive coupes with a manual transmission. Each car presents its own strengths and delicacies, but if you had $10,000 to spend, which of these three would be your choice? Thomas and James spend some time deliberating over which they like most. We hope you enjoy the episode. And then subscribe, silly.

The 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto ($846,594 as specced in Canada, $608,358 starting in the US) is the successor to the outgoing Aventador, and is powered by a hybrid V12 engine that makes a combined 1001 horsepower. It has three electric motors and an electric-only mode, meaning the Revuelto lets the driver choose between a shouty V12, a silent EV mode, or a combination of both for maximum power. But how does it handle something like a longer distance road trip to beautiful Ontario cottage country? And how does it fare on some twisty roads? Thomas and James are excited to find out! The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 Sedan (~$169,950 CAD as specced, $133,655 USD as specced) is a luxurious new EV that aims to raise the bar for what luxury means in an electric vehicle. Inside, it has what Mercedes proudly calls the Hyperscreen. A 56 inch wide piece of glass that houses multiple different screens that are seamlessly integrated together. This makes for a gorgeous design for the driver and their passengers, and it combines extremely well with the vibrant ambient lighting. But interior aesthetics aside, how does the EQS 580 perform as a luxury EV? And with an ‘S’ in its name, can the EQS match the comfort and style of the legendary S-Class? Thomas and James aim to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

The adventures of Toe Foo and Schnitz continue! The two ‘80’s hatchbacks Thomas and James just bought are about to embark on the most treacherous leg of their journey yet. James’ 1986 Toyota Corolla AE86 cost more than double what Thomas paid for his 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI. When Thomas finds this out and learns that James has been lying to him, he has the whole team change course and camp for a night to save money. However, Thomas’ campsite of choice is at the end of a long and unpaved road that he has little information about. When camping, they say to expect the unexpected. However no one could have expected just how long this day would be. We hope you enjoy Episode Two of the Road to Enlightenment!

The 2024 Cybertruck Cyberbeast ($99,990 starting in the US) is possibly the most polarizing and most unique new vehicle on the market today. Sharp edges and acute angles along with an ultra-durable stainless steel exterior make for a truck like none other before it. But is it more than just a unique mars-rover looking novelty? And does the Cybertruck’s range live up to the expectations? Thomas and James are excited to take the new Cyberbeast on a not-so-mini Throttle House Road Trip. We hope you enjoy the episode! The 2025 Porsche Spyder RS ($192,600 starting in Canada, $164,200 starting in the US) is a mid-engine roadster with the same 4.0L flat six engine as found in the 911 GT3. And with that engine comes a screaming 9,000 rpm redline, 493 horsepower through natural aspiration, and a 3.2 second claimed 0-60 mph time. The 1995 Ferrari F355 and Paul Rudd have one thing in common. They both age like a fine wine. Naturally aspirated, rear-wheel drive, manual transmission and a mid-engined V8. This car exists at the crossroads of modern and classic. But where does that leave it compared to the modern day? And for the prices people are now asking for these, does it still have a place in this digital world? The 2006 Ford GT ($149,995 USD original MSRP / ~$188,400 CAD converted, $469,900 CAD current / ~$371,700 USD converted) is a supercharged V8 behemoth with undeniable curb appeal and a merciless driving experience on the track. Thomas and James have planned to take it to a local race track in Vancouver to see just what it can do. The 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC + Coupe ($75,000 starting in Canada, $67,050 starting in the US) is a four-door, four wheel drive pocket rocket with a monstrous 416 horsepower out of a turbocharged 4 cylinder. The 2024 Ferrari Purosangue (US$400,000, ~CAD$500,000) is the first four-door, four-seater to ever come out of the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. A ferocious naturally-aspirated V12 sits up front-mid, creating 715 horsepower with a stunning 8250 rpm redline. It also has a unique active suspension system that Ferrari claims is a world first, and a trans-axle transmission layout to help achieve its target 49:51% weight distribution. But all that tech, power, and cabin room seems to weigh a lot.
Can the engineering and chassis overcome the Purosangue’s size and weight to still provide a signature Ferrari experience? And how does Ferrari’s first foray into the world of super SUVs stack up against the competition? Thomas and James can’t wait to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!

There are very few options for new affordable sports cars on the market today, and first in the conversation is often the Subaru BRZ / GR86. But if you look to the used market, more options become available. This includes the sharp, S54 engined BMW Z4 M, the flat-six Porsche Cayman S 986.2, and the C6 Z06 Corvette with a whopping 7.0 L V8. But why should you choose one over the other? And just how much bravery is required if you decide to go the used route over something new and warrantied like the Subaru? Thomas and James are excited to spend some time with each car and see what they have to offer. We hope you enjoy the episode. Subscribe!
