Fujifilm Autofocus Problems - are mistakes by photographers part of the problem?

Fujifilm AF when in SINGLE POINT mode works quite well and that mode is usually adequate for most enthusiast's photography. However, when we get into moving subjects and FACE or OBJECT DETECTION modes, things can go badly wrong if the AF is not setup for the situation.
