In a previous video we worked a deal for a client in Pennsylvania who wanted to trade their 2013 Toyota Sienna for a new Mercedes-Benz GLE350. All the kids were out of the house and off to college and the family no longer had a need for the minivan.

We made the deal easy for the client and he in return was honest with us about the condition of his van. It was a very nice trade overall, unfortunately not the type of vehicle that we could keep to re-sell. The expectation level that comes with any pre-owned vehicle sold from a Mercedes-Benz store is too high to sell cars this old with imperfections, even when consumers generally would have lowered expectations for a vehicle of this age. With about 10 days left in the year, we have run out of places to park cars as new car inventory continues to arrive from Mercedes-Benz. That means that the lowest hanging fruit, which would be our demo vehicles that we use as service loaners or cars that have been driven by managers, are priced as aggressively as I've seen in 5 years.

Lease payments are extremely compelling as I will point out with 5 real examples in this video. Keep in mind these deals are being worked with taxes and fee's local to North Olmsted, Ohio.

The two things that negatively impact a cars trade in value MORE than anything else?

1. Higher than average miles for the year / make / model. This is relative to other comparable vehicles already listed for sale.

2. Having a "bad" CARFAX. An accident on the CARFAX will hurt your vehicles value for two reasons. First, buyers will be willing to pay less compared to a vehicle with a clean CARFAX. Second, 50% of car shoppers (according to data from Cars.com) will click "Clean CARFAX only" when shopping for a used car. This means, 50% of car shoppers will NEVER see that vehicle listed for sale!

The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT ($214,780 in Canada starting, $190,150 in the US starting) is a 4.0 L twin turbo V8 SUV with 631 horsepower and 626 lb ft of torque. It has fairly subtle styling among the Cayenne lineup and a wicked-fast claimed 0-100 km/h time of just 3.3 seconds.
