Secret Invasion started off as a decent spy thriller, before the show devolved into underused plot devices and cheap visual effects. But what if things had been different? What if Secret Invasion had been the Epic Culmination of Phase 4?

#SecretInvasion #Avengers5 #Marvel

This is a story that would have been
the perfect Avengers movie after Endgame. And it should have been the climactic event of Phase 4.

The reaction to Secret Invasion wasn’t great, for so many reasons. The biggest letdown, though, is how one of the coolest concepts from the comics was adopted.

Secret Invasion is one of the best crossover events in Marvel comics. And it’s a story fitting a big crossover event.

So we came up with how Secret Invasion should have been done in the MCU.
And Avengers 5 in phase 4 would have fixed so many things for the entire multiverse saga.

Alright, we all know that Secret Invasion was really disappointing, so I’m not going to pile on too much.
If you want to hear our thoughts on the show, watch our review that explains what went wrong.

Instead, let’s start by explaining why Secret Invasion needed to be an Avengers movie.

The comics version of Secret Invasion was about the Skrulls invading Earth. What makes it so unique is the reveal that Skrulls shapeshifted into many heroes. They infiltrated every team, as well as agencies like Shield.

But the really massive twist is that some heroes were replaced years before this event. Meaning that the Skrulls were pretending to be established heroes for a long time.

Doug: So that’s like Rhodey was a Skrull since Civil War, right?

Well, they tried to do this Skrulls twist with Rhodey in the show, but they messed it up. The reveal feels so empty and sloppy.

Anyway, the Skrulls were a huge threat, so all the Marvel heroes had to join forces and defeat them.

Secret Invasion was awesome, and it led to another great story that gave us supervillain teams like the Thunderbolts and the Dark Avengers.
A story that would have been a perfect fit for phase 5.
So you can see why Secret Invasion would have worked much better as an Avengers movie.

The MCU making a small-scale show that feels cheap and insignificant ultimately feels like such a waste of the fantastic story.

And there are some good adaptations of the story. The animated show Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes did the story really well. In fact, they did some things even better than the comics.

And Agents of Shield already made a much better version of Secret Invasion on television.

The fourth season deals with characters being replaced by imposters. Now while it’s robots and not Skrulls, the concept is the same.

There is that intense paranoia, characters we know and love might have been replaced. Take for example one of the best scenes of the season.
Fitz and Simmons - a couple who are in love - can’t trust each other because they believe the other might be an imposter.

This is exactly the kind of scene that would have saved Secret Invasion. This is the staple of the body snatcher concept.

This is pretty much non-existent in the MCU’s Secret Invasion. But we will have that in our version of the story.

Granted, doing a faithful adaption of Secret Invasion isn’t easy. Because there are a lot of characters, many of them are imposters, and it won’t be cheap.

But Secret Invasion cost over $200 million, that’s as much as most MCU movies.

Doug: This cost 200 million? They spent all that money on the Drax baby arm?

Well they basically filmed this show twice, instead of filming an Avengers movie once.

And this brings us to why we needed an Avenges movie in phase 4.

I understand why Marvel wants their Avengers movies to be these huge crossover events.

But by the point Avengers Kang Dynasty comes out, it will be 7 whole years since Endgame. 7 years!
This is the same time gap between the first Avengers and Endgame.

And it’s more than just the long wait, there’s a bigger problem.
We don’t know who the new Avengers even are. Is there even a team, or is it just an army of heroes now?

What is the dynamic between these heroes? Who’s the Tony of the saga, who’s the Steve? Can these heroes co-exist as a team in a world that lost half of the original Avengers?

Star Wars The Acolyte was canceled by Disney & Lucasfilm. Erik Voss explains what really happened with this series. Check out the Shave and Suds bundle from Harry's at https://harrys.com/newrockstars

Why was the Acolyte really canceled? Did the hate mob bring the show down? Was it too expensive? Did Disney and Lucasfilm not fully have a plan for what they wanted the show to be? Erik Voss breaks down the timeline of the series, the stupid controversies around it, and the actual reasons that factored into its cancelation.

Lyrics::-
'Cause I'm all that you want, boy Appetite for seduction Fresh out the oven Melt in your mouth kind of lovin' Bon appétit, baby

Bon appétit, baby

Looks like you've been starving You've got those hungry eyes You could use some sugar 'Cause your levels ain't right You want what I'm cooking, boy

I'm a five-star Michelin

A Kobe flown in

Let me take you

Under candle light We can wine and dine And it's okay Eat with your hands, fine

A table for two

If you take your time

I'm on the menu

'Cause I'm all that you want, boy All that you can have, boy Got me spread like a buffet

Bon appétit, baby

Appetite for seduction Fresh out the oven
Melt in your mouth kind of lovin'

Bon appétit, baby

So you want some more Well, I'm open 24

Wanna keep you satisfied Customer's always right Hope you've got some room

For the world's best cherry pie Gonna hit that sweet tooth, boy

Let me take you

Under candle light

We can wine and dine

A table for two

And it's okay

If you take your time Eat with your hands, fine

I'm on the menu

'Cause I'm all that you want, boy All that you can have, boy Appetite for seduction

Got me spread like a buffet

Bon appétit, baby

Fresh out the oven

Melt in your mouth kind of lovin' Bon appétit, baby

(Quavo)

Sweet potato pie

It'll change your mind Got you running to back for seconds
Every single night

X

(Takeoff)

I'm the one they say can change your life No waterfall, she drippin' wet, you like my

ice? (blast)

She say she want a Migo night Now I ask her, "What's the price?" (hold

on)

If she do right told her get whatever you like

(Offset)

I grab her legs and now divide, aight Make her do a donut when she ride, aight Looking at the eyes of a dime, make you blind In her spine, and my diamonds change the

climate

(Quavo)

Sweet tooth, no tooth fairy Whipped cream, no dairy

She got her hot light on screaming, "I' m ready"

No horses, no carriage

Got me spread like a buffet

'Cause I'm all that you want, boy All that you can have, boy Melt in your mouth kind of lovin'

Bon appétit, baby Appetite for seduction

Fresh out the oven

Bon appétit, baby

Letra / Lyrics:

Ke lo ke
Estamos a rulay
Empezó el verano
Fuego
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
Seguramente,
Estarías bailando esta conmigo,
No como amigos
Sino como otra cosa,
Usted cerca me pone peligrosa,
Por un besito
Hago cualquier cosa
La novia suya me pone celosa
Y aunque es hermosa
Ey!
No te va a tratar como yo,
No te va a besar como yo,
No está tan rica, así como yo
Ella es timida y yo no,
Con estas ganas que tengo yo,
Me atrevo a comerme a los dos,
Hoy estás jangueando con ella,
Pero (mmm)
Después tal vez no
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
Seguramente,
Estarías bailando esta conmigo,
No como amigos
Ey!
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
Seguramente,
Estarías bailando esta conmigo,
No como amigos
Ey!
Y yo te veo y no sé
Cómo actuar
Bebé pa’ conquistarte
Que me pasen el manual
Espero lo que sea,
Yo no me voy a quitar
Tengo fé que esos ojitos
Un día me van a mirar
Yo me caso contigo,
Mi nombre suena bien con tu apellido
Estoy esperando el primer descuido,
Pa’ presentarte como mi marido
Yo me casó contigo,
Mi nombre suena bien con tu apellido
Estoy esperando el primer descuido,
Pa’ presentarte como mi marido
No has entendido que
No te va a tratar como yo,
No te va a besar como yo,
No está tan rica, así como yo
Ella es timida y yo no,
Con estas ganas que tengo yo,
Me atrevo a comerme a los dos,
Hoy estás jangueando con ella,
Pero (mmm)
Después tal vez no
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
(Ey, ¿Cómo?)
Seguramente,
Estarías bailando esta conmigo,
no como amigos
(No, no, no)
Ey, Ey, Ey
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
¿Qué hubiera sido?
Si antes te hubiera conocido
